Module 1 in Lugansk

From November 2010 till April 2011 God brought together children workers from 12 churches of Lugansk region (Eastern Ukraine) who had the same desire in their hearts – to be trained how to build relationship with children.

With each new meeting the students came to even deeper understanding of connecting with children and got practical skills how to do it. Before this course they tried to minimize “play-time” because it was considered unimportant. Now they use play as one of the main tools to build relationship with children. Students practiced different story-telling techniques for telling every-day stories as well as ones from the Bible.

This Module is special because students don’t just sit in class, but they go out to play with children. Children workers practiced to arrange, plan and conduct play-meetings with children. As they gained more and more experience in the field, they developed team-building skills alongside.

During the training God was touching the hearts of people. Many of them discovered that they are very creative. Some broke through their own fears, anxiety or bewilderment while spending time with kids. Many testified that they were emotionally healed by God concerning not just the ministry, but in other spheres of their lives.

Now, being trained to connect with kids and inspired to share God’s love, these students from the city of Lugansk and the region will carry on with their Sunday schools, children cell-groups, conferences, special events, but from this time on equipped how to win kids’ hearts for God.
